Let’s look back at Bryant Park before it became the beloved destination it is today. The site was once home to the Egyptian Revival–style Croton Distributing Reservoir and, in 1854, hosted the World’s Fair.
We’ll explore how the park evolved from a neglected and unsafe space in the 1970s to its remarkable transformation following the formation of the Bryant Park Corporation in 1980. Today, it serves as Midtown Manhattan’s vibrant gathering place for recreation and entertainment, and is even home to an apiary with resident honeybees.
